Today we announce Jeremy Sims, General Manager of Western Australia’s Sam Kerr Football Centre is the latest addition to the speaker line-up for TheStadiumBusiness Asia 2024 (#SAS24).

Jeremy will share the design and development story of this newly-opened Aus$50.8 million State Football Centre, recently renamed the Sam Kerr Football Centre.

Located just 15 minutes from Perth CBD (at the Queen’s Park Open Space in the City of Canning), the Sam Kerr Football Centre is a world-class high-performance football facility, developed over 16 hectares. The facilities include:

  • Two full-size elite hybrid pitches (soon to be four pitches)
  • Three 5-a-side pitches
  • State-of-the-art strength and conditioning area
  • Hydrotherapy treatment pools
  • Café, bar, and meeting/function room facilities
  • Home of Football West’s administration offices

Opened in October 2023, the centre has been designed to meet international standards and served as a training ground for teams from Denmark, Canada, Panama, Haiti, and Morocco during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™

The centre is co-managed by VenuesWest and Football West.

As General Manager, Jeremy oversees both event and non-event day operations, ensuring a high-quality experience for all stakeholders while optimising venue usage and maximising financial returns. Football West oversees the day-to-day administration of the venue, including training facilities and playing fields to support grassroots, community, and high-performance football programs.

TheStadiumBusiness is excited to have Jeremy join us and showcase the Sam Kerr Football Centre project. His discussion will delve into balancing educational and commercial demands, making it a must-attend for anyone interested in the management and development of sports training facilities.
